Mom/Daughter R&R in San Diego
We took a little mom/daughter time after Surf Cup to shop, swim, sit by the pool, and relax in San Diego. Our room had an amazing view of the bay and was a perfect spot to watch the SeaWorld fireworks. I am so grateful that I have had the last four months of to enjoy these special moments over the summer - I love you to the moon!

Surf Cup San Diego 2025
Surf Cup is one of the biggest tournaments in the states where teams from across the country come to compete. This is the first big tournament with your new Surf team and Coach Erin and you guys played amazing. In regular play you won 2 games and tied 1, making it to the Semi-Finals! The final game was a great match but unfortunately Surf last 1-2. Despite that loss coach Erin made it clear she was very proud of the team - you have only played 10 games together (all over the summer) and have one all but one game (Pretty Impressive). I am excited for the season ahead and know you guys will do amazing things!!!

A day exploring Seattle
Today we took time to enjoy Seattle checking out the new waterfront and some of the staples like Pike Place Market, Gum Wall, Beechers (you love the mac and cheese) and of course we each had to buy a fabulous bouquet of flowers. It was a perfect sunny day to explore!

Dad's 50th Fishing Trip
This year was a big year for birthdays at our house - Dad turned 50 in June. We surprised him with a few days away at a lodge on the Yakima River - including our first guided flyfishing trip as a family. I am happy to report we all caught fish although dad seemed to catch "just a few" more than we did. While dad did a bit more fishing we enjoyed the pool so everyone was happy! Such a fun way to celebrate dad doing his favorite thing as a family. I have we have more fishing adventures together. Happy Birthday Dad!

4th of July on Vashon
Love our 4th of July family tradition even though we were missing a few this year. Our beach had so many people out it was buzzing! Alena was able to join for the weekend which made it extra fun for you guys - uptown shopping, swimming, paddleboarding, games, shark fishing with Finn, crabbing, inner tubing (Umm the boat took on water which made it an extra adventure) and of course amazing fireworks from our deck. Looking forward to more weekends of at the cabin this summer.
