My little swimmer girl

This weekend Kallie and I went to her first parent/tot swimming lesson. We went to a great pool in Bellevue that is bath water warm. I was not sure how Kallie would react when we first got in the water but she immediately started splashing around like she does in the bath tub. Basically you sing songs in the class and the kiddos splash, kick and spin around in the water with their parents. I think it is a great start to getting Kallie ready for swim team :) Here are a few pictures from her first lesson:

Date Night

Last night we had a great date night to celebrate Eric's b-day. After the daycare extravaganza Kelly and Martin took Kallie home with them for her first official slumber party with Coop.

Eric and I started off wtih a drink outside at Kells where we had a great view of the water followed by a great dinner at Matt's in the Market (YUM). Happy Birthday Honey . . . I love you!

Here are a few pics Kelly sent me thoughout the evening of Kallie and Coop having fun!

Daycare Extravaganza

Today Kallie's daycare Bright Horizons hosted a Summer Extravaganza on the front porch of the Starubcks headquarters (my office). They hand pony rides, a bouncy house, face painting, bubbles and my favorite kids band Casper Baby Pants. The weather finally cleared so it was a perfect evening for a little fun. We spend most of the early evening with Kelly, Martin, Coop, Leslie, Blake and Lauren. A good time was had by all!!!

Family Photos

Last weekend my we headed down to my friend Bradie's house in Gig Harbor to get Kallie's 10 month photos and some family photos. Although it was pouring down rain in Seattle, we were surprised to find out the rain had stopped in Gig Harbor just in time for our photos. It was a big chilly but we managed to keep Kallie warm in a blanket between shots.

Bradie I can't thank you enough for the great photos . . . you captured each moment perfectly!

Happy Father's Day

This weekend we celebrated Eric's first Father's Day (or Father's Day weekend as he would say). We were up early giving daddy his Father's Day presents . . . Kallie even made him a special card at daycare and Coho bought him some tennis balls so they could play fetch together :) We spend the rest of the day on Vashon with my family. Eric did some fishing and then we spent the rest of the day on the beach with the kiddos. It is so fun to watch them love the beach as much as we did when we were kids. Kallie still isn't sure how much she likes the sand on her toes but we do know she loves eating shells and rocks(HA).

Eric, you are the most amazing daddy. Kallie lights up and wiggles like crazy when she sees you. She loves spending time with her daddy playing with her toys and giggling on the couch. You even taught her how to give kisses. Thank you for being such a wonderful daddy to our baby girl!!!!

Happy 10 Months

Happy 10 month Birthday to Kallie B! As I sit here writing this blog post you are currently eating pancakes and bananas for breakfast. I can hardly believe my little 36 week, 5lb 9oz little girl is eating solid food! The last ten months have flow by and we have loved every minute. You are quite the personality and are so giggly. You love saying da-da and ma-ma (da-da tends to come out much more which your daddy loves). You have also become quiet the scooter. I put you down and you scoot backwards from one end of the room to the other. You have not quite figured out how to crawl forward but you seem to get around just fine.

In just 10 short months you have changed our lives in the most amazing way. We love you more then words and feel blessed to have you in our lives. Happy 10 months baby girl . . . we love you!

Just Having Fun

Last weekend we decided to take a day trip up to Vashon. The weather was supposed to be sunny but unfortunately the clouds decided to stick around. We had a great time regardless. Eric did a bit of fishing while Kallie and I walked alog the beach and played with her cousins.

My family used to spend every weekend on Vashon growing up and we loved every minute of it. I am so excited for Kallie to grow up going to the cabin and I hope she will love it as much as I did growing up.

Daddy's Little Girl

Kallie loves her daddy. She smiles from ear to ear when he walks into the room. Of course her first "word" was Da-Da which she insists on saying over and over. When I ask Kallie "where is da-da", she immediately points to her daddy. Here are a few pictures of daddy and his little girl!
