Sledding Family Fun

Today we decided to head out for a sledding adventure.  We hit the road and stopped when we found snow.  We had a great time sledding, building a snow fort and of course a snowman. This will be the first of many visits to the snow this Winter!

Christmas 2015

We had a wonderful Christmas with our families.  We started off with brunch the week before Christmas with Nana/Doug and the Nicholson's followed by Christmas Eve dinner at my sisters and annual caroling and The Doyle's.

Kallie was so excited on Christmas morning...running in our room at 6:15 yelling "Merry Christmas"!  She loved all of her gifts and was very happy that Santa brought her everything she asked for and then some (camera, fox neck pillow, mouse toy, a microphone, art projects and much much more).  I love watching her face light up with all of the magic that Christmas brings... Pure joy and wonder!

We spent the afternoon and Grammy & Papas house exchanging gifts and spending time with family.  Santa even brought gifts to Grammy and Papas... He brought Kallie a trampoline and she loves it!

I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and enjoyed every moment of the holiday season!

Annual Cookie Baking with Grammy

Baking Christmas cookies with Grammy is one of Kallie's favorite things to do over the holidays.  She loves spending time at Grammy and Papa's and of course running around with her cousins.  They baked cookies, watched a Christmas movie, made tshirts and of course a few holiday art projects.  All of the kids are exhausted by the end of they day .... And so are the grandparents!

I love the memories they are making and the soecial bond she has with Grammy and Papa!

Nutcracker Magic

I decided this year was the perfect year to start a mommy/daughter holiday tradition.  We started our tradition with The Nutcracker and it was absolutely perfect!  I can't wait to continue this tradition year after year and I can only hope that Kallie will continue the tradition with her own family one day.

Let the Holiday Season Begin!

Our annual tree hunt was quite an adventure this year or should I say freezing, sideways rain, cold adventure.  Despite the bad weather we had fun with cousins and found the perfect tree.

After we let the tree dry overnight it was time to decorate.  As always we put on Christmas music and talked about each ornament as we (well mostly Kallie) decorated the tree.  I have to say it looks pretty darn good if I do say so myself!
