LFC International (Derby, England)

This year we received an email from LFC that you were chosen to attend the International LFC Academy in Derby, England.  You were chosen for your skill, dedication and love for the game.  Dad and I knew immediately this was an opportunity we could not pass up and something you would remember for a lifetime.  Although I didn't love the idea of leaving you in the UK for a week you assured me you would be just fine!  With that, we headed to London in August - we spent 72 hours exploring London (will share more on that later) before we were off we went on the train to Derby.  I know we were all a little bit nervous but once we got there I knew it would be great.  The campus was amazing and the coaches/staff welcomed you and 18 other girls from the US and Canada with open arms.

It was a week of intense training and and off the field - but you loved (except the food).  According to all of your stories you met amazing friends, had the best of the best coaching and of course an amazing adventure to Anfield, stadium where you and an unforgettable tour and bought some good swag.  Oh and lets not forget to say your team kicked butt and beat all three teams you played from England - Dad and I were so thrilled we got to watch you play your last game (Proud mom and dad moment).

We are so proud of you, your had work, dedication and love for the game is so fun to watch!

Moms and Daughters Vashon Weekend

We had a great weekend on Vashon with our some of our besties (moms and daughters) from our soccer team.  The weather was beautiful which made it perfect for beachcombing, swimming, exploring Point Robinson and of course late night fires and music (and dancing) on the deck.  Such a fun weekend to unplug and enjoy time together outside of soccer.  I am thankful for all of our amazing soccer families, we won the lottery!
