Special visit from Mimi and Papa

Mimi and Papa stayed in town for a visit after Turkey Day.  Sadly you woke up with a high fever and the flu.  You were pretty miserable for a few days which was a bummer but we did get out of the house for dinner out, a visit to snowflake lane and we stopped by our favorite Christmas tree lot (AKA Church parking lot) and found the perfect tree!  Overall it was a great visit, now we need to plan a trip to visit Mimi and Papa in S. Carolina

Turkey Day with Family is BACK

 

Our Turkey Day hosting tradition is back after a brief hiatus due to Covid.   It was so nice to have everyone over again enjoying time together - we even had Nana/Doug and Mimi/Papa as our special guests!  It was a big group, I think our turkey was 24lbs and turned out delicious (Phew)  

Your Love of Soccer

Your love and dedication for soccer amazes us!  You NEVER complain about going to practice in the heat, rain or snow and give it your all at every game.   This year your team voted you captain and I can't think of anyone more deserving.  You send inspirational texts to the team (win or lose) and help motivate your teammates when you see someone who might be struggling or having a hard day.  Soccer has taught you so many lessons over the years - perseverance, teamwork, confidence and never give up!    We are so proud of you #51

Halloween Fun 2023

 
Halloween is always one of your favorite days - you love to dress up and start thinking about what you are going to be weeks in advance.  This years outfit:  Preppy Cowgirl  & Soccer Ref!    From dressing up at soccer to pumpkin carving to trick or treating you have fun with it all.   This year you went tick or treating with Maddie (AKA Freddy Kruger) in our neighborhood for HOURS while the parents stayed warm inside drinking wine!  I am pretty sure plan to trick or treat until you are 18  . . . why not . . .free candy!

Murphy Sissy Snuggles

You and Murphy are quite the pair.  You love to snuggle but of course Murphy has no sense of personal space - he likes to sit right on top of you!  If I am being honest you both get a little jealous of each other (HA)!  Here are a few photos that make me smile - Two Peas in a Pod!

CMMS Volleyball

Middle School brings lots of sports opportunities outside of soccer, first up intermural volleyball!  It was so fun to watch you try something new and realize you love it (and your pretty good at it).  You met a great group of girls and you guys won most of your games but most importantly you had a blast. Go CMMS Falcons!

First day of 6th Grade - Cougar Mountain Middle School

 

Today is your first day of 6th grade at Cougar Mountain Middle School.  You have had all of the feelings the last few weeks -  excited, nervous you won't get your locker open, get lost trying to find your classes and  . . . but mostly you excited and ready!  

We are excited for your next adventure -  we know you will do GREAT!
