COVID Vaccination Day

Seems surreal to write this but figured it was worth documenting - Eric and I received our 2nd COVID vaccine today!  We are hoping with the vaccine and being cautious we can start getting out and seeing friends more.  Currently kids 16+ are eligible but hopefully in the very near future it will be available for all ages.  

Spring Break Staycation 2021

This year (and last) we spent Spring Break at home due to COVID.  We did our best to mix things up and take time off of work for a little family time.  We spent an afternoon at the zoo, Kallie played with her neighborhood crew  and spent two days at Suncadia.   Suncadia had some unexpected snow but thankfully the outdoor pools are heated to 93 . . . even I went in.  We explored the river, swam (many times), had s'mores by the bonfire and just enjoyed the change of scenery for a few days.    Hopefully we can get back to Hawaii next year!

Easter Fun

Easter weekend was a success, thankfully the weather cooperated so we could spend time with family safely outdoors/socially distanced.  The Easter Bunny brought lots of goodies as usual and we spent the afternoon at Grammy's house for the kids annual egg hunt and Easter dinner.

First Day of In-Person 4th Grade

Today was a big day - Kallie had her first day of in-person hybrid 4th Grade!  She was so excited to head back to IVE and see her teach in person for the very first time.  Although it is only hybrid (4 days a week from 9-12:30) the smile she had on her face when she got home was priceless.    

We will miss you Coho Monkey Bubbs Bates

Today we had to say goodbye to Coho.  It was so hard to say goodbye but we know how lucky we are to have him for 12.5 amazing years.  Coho was spoiled from the day he came home to the day he left us and for that I am grateful. He was mom's early morning walking buddy, Kallie's "brother" and Eric's favorite hunting buddy.  We will all miss him in our own special way but together we will have so many great memories that will last a lifetime.

Back on the Pitch - G10A

After almost a year of no soccer games (only practice) the G10A girls are back at it.  We are so excited for the team to be back on the field working hard and loving it.  Go Gunners!

 

Adventures with Coho

We have spent lots of quality time with Coho during quarantine which has been fun.  Walking at recess exploring the neighborhood.  We have found lots of places he can go off leash which he loves.  Here are a few pics from our recent adventures - a bit shorter walks these days because he is slowing but walking with her girls still makes him very happy!
