IVE Field Day - 2nd Grade

This week is the last week of school but more importantly today was Field Day. I remember looking forward to field day when I was little just like Kallie does. I think it is the sense of freedom and being able to go to any game station you want as many times as you want. I was volunteering so I only saw her a few times but each time she was smiling ear to ear.

Cougar Club Family Night 2019

Cougar Club has been a part of our lives since Kallie was in Kindergarten and from day one it has felt like an extended family. We feel so lucky to have such an amazing program at IVE. We had a great time at family night playing bingo, face painting, balloon animals, a photo booth and food trucks. They teachers outdid themselves yet again. Thank you to all of the staff who take care of Kallie before and after school. We could not do it without you - XOXOXO

ISC Gunners Premier Soccer

It was an amazing year of soccer for Kallie. She grew leaps and bounds as a player, had amazing coaches and met a great group of girls. Her hard work paid off when she found out last night that she made the ISC Gunners 2010 Premier team!

We are so proud of you. Your love for soccer started when you are just 3 years old in little kickers and had never stopped. Your desire to learn and grow as a player is so fun to watch. You work hard and most importantly have fun doing it. Keep up the good work baby girl, the sky is the limit.

2nd Grade Field Trip - Lake Sammamish Park

Today I was a chaperone on the 2nd Grade field trip to Lake Sammamish where we met with Park Rangers and learned about the Wetlands. We had a great morning learning about the plants and wildlife that live at the park. The kids were very engaged and had a ton of fun walking around the park talking about what they see, smell and hear. I am very thankful I am able to join my girl on these adventures and even more thankful that the weather cooperated!

Spring Break 2019 - Hawaii

We had an amazing Spring Break in Hawaii (Oahu). We were able to fully disconnect from work, relax and enjoy our family time. Most of our days were spent by the pool followed by beach and ocean time. We did go on a few adventures to explore the island. We went on the lighthouse hike which was fun because the last time Eric and I were there I was 20 weeks pregnant with Kallie, took a day trip to the North Shore to look for turtles, took Kallie snorkeling for the first time (she was so excited to see her first fish), went to a luau, took a lei making class and of course learned to hula.

It was an amazing trip full of memories that will last forever. I am already looking forward to our next family adventure.

Snow Days and more Snow Days!

Snow and more snow ... this year we had 7 snow days! I think this is the most snow I have ever seen in Seattle. On two different occasions we got over 6 inches of snow overnight. Seattle is definitely not prepared for that kind of snow but we took full advantage sledding with friends day in the neighborhood.

2nd Grade Concert

The IVE 2nd Graders did such a great job at their performance. The kids work hard for months perfecting each song and boy did their hard work pay off.
