Camp Sambica H2O Camp

I am pretty sure you would go to camp every day if you could - it is your most favorite thing to do in the summer.  Sambica H2O camp was a big hit again this year.   You went with a few girls from your soccer team, met quite a few new friends and had a blast.  From your stories, I think the banana boat, ropes course, inflatables on the water, high dive and gaga-ball were your favorites!

Happy 12th Birthday!

Happy 12th Birthday!  Today was a big day, not only is it your birthday but you got your first cell phone.  You were shocked, excited and a wee nervous all at the same time.  It was so fun to surprise you with such a big gift - one you have been wanting for a very long time.

After gifts we packed up and spent the afternoon at the zoo - this is a birthday tradition we started years ago that you still love. Followed by birthday froyo at your favorite spot in Issaquah.  I love your love for traditions!

The birthday fun continued over the weekend with a paddle boarding/beach day with some of your closest soccer friends.  You guys spent hours paddling and jumping and and off the boards.  We headed home for birthday cake and backyard soccer of course (with Murphy).   You are one lucky girl to have so many great friends to help you celebrate.

We love you - Happy Birthday to you!

Note:  At your annual check up you were just under 5' 7" (99%) !!!

Surf Cup San Diego - 2022

Kallie's soccer team (GA2010) was invited to play at Surf Cup this year in San Diego.  Surf Cup is the biggest soccer tournament of the year and teams need to qualify to play.  It is the best of the best from around the country.   It was such a fun experience for the team (many new players) from beginning to end.  They played hard and tough in every game and had so much fun bonding as a team.

After the tournament a few of us stayed for an extra few days to enjoy the sunshine.  We went to the San Diego Zoo, boogie boarding at the beach and a full pool day at a fancy hotel.

We hope to be back next year for more soccer!  Great work ladies . . . GO GUNNERS!

Compass Bike Camp Adventures

Kallie and Maddie went to Compass Outdoor Adventure camp this week with our neighbor Hannah and a few friends.   The camp is in North Bend and all outdoors.   Each day they bike to their destination and get to explore the outdoors.  Hiking, swimming, biking, geo-caching - they did it all.  On the last day they took a van to Snoqualmie Pass and rode 25 miles back to North Bend.  They even got to go through the famous Snoqualmie Tunnel with flashlights attached to their bikes.  The tunnel is 2.5 miles long and pitch black!   I used to be an old railroad tunnel back in the day that you can now walk/bike through.    Such a fun experience for the girls!

4th of July - Vashon Traditions

We had another fun 4th of July weekend on Vashon with family.  The weather was not perfect but the kids still managed to swim like fish and jump off the bulkhead while the adults went up town and did a little wine tasting.  As always the fireworks from the barge were amazing as we snuggled up on the deck.  Happy 4th of July!
