KPrep Graduation... Kindergarten here she comes!

Well it's official Kallie is off to Kindergarten in the Fall!   We are so excited for her and know she is more than ready for school I am just not sure if we are ready BUT... Ready or not here she comes!

Congratulations Kallie...we are so proud of you ... Goodbye Mermaids Lagoon, Hello Issaquah Valley Elementary!

Florida Adventures

We had an amazing time in Florida.  We started our adventure visiting Mimi and Papa in The Villages enjoying the pool, golf cart rides, family time and more pool!  Kallie loved being the center of attention and of course Mimi and Papa spoiled her every minute.

Our second stop was the Florida Keys.  We decided to drive which was a bit longer than we expected but we made it and our house did not disappoint.  We could fish off the dock, kayak, swim in our own pool/hot tub and enjoyed the amazing outdoor space.

Our Keys adventure consisted of fishing, swimming, aligator farm, feeding the tarpan, day trip to Key West, dolphins how and more at The Theatre of the sea, more swimming and fishing and of course a great time with cousins!

We were sad when vacation was over but enjoyed having two weeks off!

Easter Fun

Easter is always full of fun events and family time.  We started celebrations by dying Easter eggs.  This was the first year Kallie did not want any help (sniffle).  She knew how she wanted to decorate them and did a great job (with minimal mess which was amazing).

The weekend started with our annual neighborhood egg hunt with a surprise visit from the Easter bunny.  It is a bit chaotic and the eggs are all found within 5 minutes but still fun for all.

On Easter we had brunch with cousins at Uncle Jim and Aunt Terri's house... Ate way too much and the kids went on an egg hunt into the pouring rain and loved it.  We spent the afternoon at Grammy and Papas yet again ate too much and went on another egg hunt (no rain this time).  We had a great weekend spending time with family!

Dinner and a Show

The other day I saw these Wonder Woman jammies and knew immediately that Kallie would love them.  I knew she would not wear them to bed (she only wears panties even though she has about 8 pairs of pjs) but I had a feeling they would be a big hit.

Her favorite thing to do after dinner is to "put on a show" for us and these pjs are the perfect accessory.  The one catch is...we usually have to do it too.  Last night we each had to do a ballet dance and circus act!  Here are a few pics from the show that capture her spicy personality well!

Another Great Snow Day

We had another great day in the snow with friends in Cle Elum.  We spent the day sledding, quad rides, snowmobile rides, feeding horses and making memories.  We are lucky to have such great friends who let us visit anytime (thank you Uncle Hoyt-e-toy-te).

Kindergarten Prep B

I wanted to take a quick moment (so I don't forget) to talk about how how much Kallie loves school (aka daycare).  Although she is old enough to be in Kindergarten we made the decision to hold her back a year since she is so young.  We felt another year would only be beneficial in the long run.

With that said, I am so happy with the progress Kallie has made over the last few months.  She knows how to write all of her letters (upper and lowercase), can count to 100+, knows many of her site words and most recently has started to sound out words and is SO very proud of herself when she gets the words correct.

She loves to learn and I love that about her.  She is a sponge and literally remembers EVERYTHING you tell her (the good and the bad), she is a great listener in class, has a very kind heart and is the first child to welcome new kids to class.  I am one proud mama!

Sleigh Ride and Sledding

This weekend we drove to Happy Trails Farm in Easton for a sleigh ride/sledding adventure with friends.  Although it was freezing ... Literally 13 degrees as a high, we had a great time!  The kids loved sledding and roasting hot dogs over the fire for lunch.  When we did get cold we had a big canvas tent with a wood stove to keep us warm.

After a fun morning we went to a friends house in Cle Elum for more sledding, snowmobile rides and smores by the fire.  It was a perfect day and we can't wait to go back to enjoy the snow this Winter.
