This weekend our neighborhood had their annual Easter egg hunt at the local park down the street. As usual the kiddos were ready to go with Easter baskets in hand. Kallie was a bit shy this year but still managed to get a basket full of eggs.
To continue the Easter fun we came back to our house to dye Easter eggs. Although it always ends up being a huge mess Kallie has a blast so it is definitely worth the mess. Now that the pre-Easter fun is over we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Easter Bunny!
He arrived . . . the Easter bunny arrived! He surprised Kallie with an Easter basket of goodies and most importantly a balloon which was a last minute request (which means a last minute trip to QFC the night before). We had a great day full of family, egg hunts and enjoying the sunny day!

Aloha - Maui 2014
We just got back from a great trip to Maui. This was our first official family vacation where we weren’t visiting family or with family/friends. I had high hopes and all of my expectations were met. Kallie loved the beach from the moment she stepped foot on the sand. In fact, since our room was not ready when we arrived she managed to just go right in with her pants on. She loved running from the waves, making sand castles, fishing with daddy and of course pretending to plant a garden in the sand. She also loved the pool – the kiddo pool where she could play with other kiddos and we would not have to worry but she also loved the big kid pool where should jumped off the ledge into our arms over and over and over!
We spent most of our mornings at the beach, hit the pool in the afternoon, followed by a quick nap and then finally out to dinner. Kallie was exhausted every day which meant she went straight to bed and even slept in past 6am (YEAH – that does not happen at home).
All and all it was a great vacation . . . We were all able to relax, spend some great family time together and most importantly watch Kallie enjoy every moment. Our girl is going up way too fast . . . I am so glad we are in the position to create these amazing memories.
